Suspected Tumor

I've been 'Internet-less' for the last few days.

I went to my Cardiologist Tuesday. My Echo Stress test/EKG's have made my Dr suspicious of a tumor on one of my kidneys. I have a CT Scan setup for Tuesday and a 24 hour urine test this week. I see him again January 21st for results. He is going to refer me to a electrophysicist? Something about 'burning/laser' the 'switch' in my heart. I was a little tuned out on that. He used the 'light switch' metaphor. A heart is like a light switch. A normal heart switches on 60-80 times a minute. Mine changes from 90 to 160 w/o much exertion.

My mom had a tumor the size of Parker's head (at the time, about 5 months old) last year. It was located near her left kidney. They could not save her left adrenal gland either. When I mentioned this (after my Dr told me he is suspicious of a tumor) he got a concerned look in his eye and was more adamant about getting the tests done sooner.

I'm just numb. I think God is trying to tell me something. I go through everyday thinking 'what else is going to happen. I don't think we can possibly handle anything else.' Maybe I need more faith. Patience? I'm not sure. I'm numb and I'm scared. I'm praying that 2009 is a better year!

  1. Goodness sakes Jessica what next? I will pray so hard that it's not a tumor. Maybe it's just a large cyst or better yet nothing.

Hearing your burning/laser talk makes me think of Austin's SVT. I sense that it's a heart ablation you are talking about. I know it's not uncommon for adults. Maybe you have something like that.

Continued prayers for you and the family. I also hope that 2009 is better for you.

  2. I will continue to pray for you as well. Keep us posted!

  3. God love you Jessica!! I am so sorry that things are so rough right now!! You hang in there!!

  4. Gee!!! More and more on your plate... It is just incredible... I will continue to pray for you...

My heart goes between 100 and 130 and that's why my blood pressure goes up and that is why Im now on meds for it... But my EKG keeps coming normal, though.. My heart used to go up to 180 when I was preggo with Mimi so I KNOW what you most be feeling when your heart beats...

Will pray hard that is not a tumor... A tachycardia diagnose will be bad, but let's hope it is tachycardia and not a tumor....

  5. I'm so sorry that you're going through all this. I hope it helps a little bit to know that you have an Internet family that is thinking of you and pulling for you. Please keep us updated as much as you can.

  6. Anelys- they've dx'd me with tachycardia for now. There were a few other words tacked on the end, but poo- I can't remember what they were!

Thanks for the continued prayers guys! Oh, boy- do we ever need them. We just got smacked with a bunch of yuck-o at once!

  7. Jess - you sure did get smacked with a BUNCH of yuck-o! Enough is enough girl! Big hugs!
